Apple announced the new iPod nano 5th generation and reduced the prices of iPod touch models ,last week at Apple music event .As the name indicate iPod nano range of music players are very thin in size . They compete with Microsoft Zune , Sony Walkman , Creative Zen etc in portable music player market . The major specialty of 5th generation iPod nano is that it includes a camera .We just now spotted new camera enabled iPod nano on Apple India website with 8GB and 16GB models .iPod nano 5 th generation available on 7 brilliant colors , at a starting price of 9500 INR in India .

Sony S series and E series Walkman player price and specifications

Sony Announced brand new Walkman music and video players on S Series and E series range .Walkman series is Sony’s answer to Microsoft Zune , Apple iPod touch Philips Go gear and Sandisk Sansa portable music and video players . The same Sony technology that delivers awesome sound quality in Sony Ericsson Walkman phone is used in E Series and S Series Walkman players .Both these players are available on variety of new colors ,and on 8GB and 16GB storage sizes. They have QVGA LCD screen with 2.4 inch ( S series) and 2 inch (E series ) capable of playing videos upto a maximum of 30 fps . S series Walkman player is little bit more advanced with more screen size ,video formats and music playback time . The E Series on the other side will be an entry entry Walkman player with lower price .

Sony S series and E series Walkman players uses Sony Clear Audio technology to deliver superior sound quality .

Sony S Series Walkman specifications:

Sony S Series Walkman includes a 2.4 inch fast responsive QVGA LCD screen display with 30 fps video playback . There is an FM tuner and recorder . S Series offer 42 hours of music playback through headphones and 17 hours through external speakers . The video playback time is 6.5 hrs and 5 hrs respectively as in each case above. This model ranges only less than a half inch in thickness , and is extremely lightweight . There is iTunes support to sync with Windows or Mac OS and transfer music and video file easily . The new S Series Walkman also opens JPEG images along with common audio and formats like MP3, WMA(DRM), AAC ,AVC (H.264/AVC) , MPEG-4 and WMV(DRM).

Eseries Walkman drops the screen size to 2 inch in size .The music and video playback are 30 hours and 4 hours respectively . E series Walkman plays less number of formats when compared with S Series . Few of the supported formats are MP3, WMA(DRM), AAC(non DRM) and WMV(DRM) .

Sony S series and E Series Walkman price in India :

Sony Series and Eseries Walkman music players will be available from next month onwards ,in 8GB and 16 GB models with color options lack, red, violet or pink . S series Walkman will cost $110 and $130 respectively for 8GB and 16GB models (5300-6300 India price). E Series Walkman having a cut in specs cost only $80 (3800 INR) and $100 (4600 INR) in each case .

Zune HD price spec and launch date announced pre-order now

We earlier covered the expected price and specification of Zune HD , the upcoming version of Microsoft’s Zune series of music players .Zune player is Microsoft’s answer Apple iPod touch .The new Zune HD is capable of playing HD definition videos , surf web and stream music over WiFi ,playing HD radio ,storing more than 8000 songs etc .The price of the device is significantly smaller than corresponding iPod touch models . 16GB and 32GB models of Zune HD costs 220 and 290 USD respectively . Microsoft will globally launch Zune HD on September 15 of this year .The device is already for pre-order on Microsoft and Amazon stores.
